The gravesite of Timothy James Hart is located about 1 mi. NE of Antelope, Texas, just off State Highway 175 in the NW quadrant of Antelope Cemetery.
The gravestone is shaped like the Washington Monument, about 3 feet high, with the following words inscribed:
T. J. HART
BORN
MAR. 14, 1834
DIED
APR. 8, 1890
This record will be updated when the author can find his notebook from a trip he made to the area in August 1978 where he recorded everything written on the stone. In a return trip in January 2001, the stone, while still standing, was all but illegible.
